In closing, a sincere “Thank you” to you, the listener.  You made this a special experience for us that we will never forget.  Thank you to all who use our Amazon link and to everyone sending paypal donations to help us defray the costs involved with the podcast and website, but most importantly, we cherish the relationships developed through email and Facebook with many of you, whether it was just once or ongoing, we discovered our interaction with our listeners to be the most rewarding part of this journey.

A few people told us, listening to Mysterious Topics  helped them get through rough times which warms our hearts.  Our intention from the beginning was to give people that may not have anyone to have an open minded conversation about mysterious topics, a couple of friends to do just that with and we appreciate everyone taking the time to correspond with us confirming we achieved our goal.

I plan to keep the website active for at least through 2017.  I hope to keep hearing from listeners who have questions or opinions about any of our episodes or anything else.  For anyone wishing to know any new news regarding us, please “Like” our Mysterious Topics Facebook page.  I will post any updates there and maybe an occasional mysterious topic post every now and then.  You can also message us there as well.

So this is the end of our journey.  I would like to close with  a couple quotes;

Goodbyes are not forever.

Goodbyes are not the end.

They simply mean I’ll miss you

Until we meet again!   – Author Unknown

And from Tom Petty; “You and I will meet again, When we’re least expecting it, One day in some far off place, I will recognize your face, I won’t say goodbye my friend, For you and I will meet again.”

And if I could be so bold as to add my own thought; “Nothing is impossible, it is up to you however, to make it more probable!”

Thank you for listening,,,,  until we meet again.

John is joined again by Sean Fox to discuss a huge and difficult topic, The History Of Early Christianity.  They point out many discrepancies and issues of this period including, most, if not all of the books attributed to the apostles were not written by them.  Alternative views existed but were labeled as heresy such as Gnosticism.  Many of the popes were not good people, but  very flawed, greedy and in some cases depraved.

They discuss an ancient form of experiential spiritualism that Freddy Silva states in his book “The Lost Art Of Resurrection” that more than two thousand years before Christianity, initiates from spiritual traditions around the world were already practicing a secret mystical ritual in which they metaphorically died and were reborn into a higher spiritual state. During this living resurrection they experienced a transformative awakening that revealed the nature of reality and the purpose of the soul. Upon returning to the material world they were declared “risen from the dead.”

Exploring the practice of living resurrection in ancient Egyptian, Greek, Persian, Indian, Japanese, Chinese, Celtic and Native American traditions, Freddy Silva explains how resurrection was never meant for the dead, but for the living — a fact supported by the suppressed Gnostic Gospel of Philip: “Those who say they will die first and then rise are in error. If they do not first receive the resurrection while they live, when they die they will receive nothing.” He reveals how these practices were not only common in the ancient world but also shared similar facets in each tradition: candidates took instruction for up to three years, then retreated for a three-day period into a cave or restricted room called a bridal chamber to undertake a voluntary near-death experience, roamed the Other world, and returned  fully aware to the body before being led by priests or priestesses to witness the rising of a morning star.

Image from:

Silva describes the secret chambers around the world where the ritual was performed, including the so-called ‘tombs’ of pharaohs Unas and Thutmosis III, which featured empty sarcophagi and detailed instructions for the living on how to enter the Otherworld and return alive.

He reveals why esoteric and Gnostic sects claimed that the literal resurrection of Jesus promoted by the Church was false and how the Church branded all living resurrection practices a heresy, relentlessly persecuting the Gnostics to suppress knowledge of this self-empowering experience.

They also discuss the importance of starting this conversation in an age where millennials identify themselves as non religious by twice that of their parents and grand parents generations.

John and Jordan from the Night Time Podcast and Halifax Nova Scotia conclude their recap of season 4 covering episodes 12, 13, 14 and the two hour final episode 15 as well as a “Drilling Down” episode the week after the season finale.

John and Jordan discuss events in the final episodes of season four including, a forth hole dug at the money pit location proves to be the most fruitful.  The two also give their overall critiques of the show and how they would like to see it progress from here.

John and co-host Sean Fox talk about the origins of the first crusade.  There are lots of things most people don’t know or understand about the underlying reasons of why and what actually took place.

Sean and John discuss mainly the first crusade while also touching on a few events later.

The first of the Crusades began in 1095, when armies of Christians from Western Europe responded to Pope Urban II’s plea to go to war against Muslim forces in the Holy Land.  After the First Crusade succeeded with the capture of Jerusalem in 1099, the invading Christians set up several Latin Christian states, even as Muslims in the region vowed to wage holy war (jihad) to regain control over the region.

The First Crusade was followed by the Second to the Ninth Crusades. It was also the first major step towards reopening international trade in the West since the fall of the Western Roman Empire. Due to the First Crusade being largely concerned with Jerusalem, a city which had not been under Christian dominion for 461 years, and that the crusader army, on seizure of lands, had refused to honor a brokered promise before the seizure to return gained lands to the control of the Byzantine Empire, the status of the First Crusade as defensive or aggressive in nature remains unanswered and controversial. The majority view is that it had elements of both in its nature.  3 hour Full Version of The Crusades Crescent & the Cross Doc.

Learn what “escape velocity” from the dimensions of density and form is and how and why to achieve it.

Understand that we are powerful, creative beings with the ability to shape and mold our current reality and influence our afterlife as well.

William Buhlman’s forty years of extensive personal out-of-body explorations give him a unique and thought provoking insight into OBEs. His first book, Adventures beyond the Body chronicles his personal journey of self-discovery through out-of-body travel, and provides the reader with the preparation and techniques that can be used for their own adventure.

He has conducted an international out-of-body experience survey that includes over 16,000 participants from forty-two countries. The provocative results of this survey are presented in his book, The Secret of the Soul. This cutting edge book explores the unique opportunities for personal growth and profound spiritual awakenings that are reported during out-of-body experiences.

His third book is titled Adventures in the Afterlife. William was inspired to explore the afterlife as a result of his confrontation with mortality following a cancer diagnosis in 2011. His lucid dreams and out of body experiences during his treatment and recovery provided mind bending visions that were so illuminating that he felt compelled to journal his experience. Insights that are provided in this book will assist the reader to navigate the many thought responsive environments in the afterlife.

Over the past two decades William has developed an effective system to experience safe, self initiated out-of-body adventures. He conducts an in-depth workshop with the Monroe Institute titled, Out-of-Body Exploration Intensive. This unique workshop provides the steps, intention and techniques designed for controlled out-of-body exploration. Each participant will experience a comprehensive array of proven OBE methods including the target technique, inner motion, visualization, chakra and energy body activation. In addition, hypnotic, shamanic and early morning methods will be practiced.

William’s latest book, Higher Self Now!, reflects on the actions we can take today to enhance our transition from a physical environment to the non physical world. With his wife, Susan, William wrote this book with the deep desire to help inform readers about the continuing reality of our existence and all that it implies. As a lifelong explorer through self-induced out-of-body experiences and meditation, he has written Part One of this book, which explores our opportunities for spiritual awakening, the multidimensional continuum of consciousness and the journey of soul that continues through our life, death and beyond. As a hospice volunteer and a certified end-of-life doula, Susan has written Part Two, which examines the transition we call death, suggesting a new paradigm for assisting our loved ones—and ourselves—in making the transition experience an effective launch pad for a profound spiritual journey.

“Higher Self Now!”  is truly worthy of your further investigation.

John and guest host Lisa Franz of Arizona discuss the bizarre story of the Stardust Ranch in Rainbow Valley Arizona, not far from Lisa’s residence.

John and Joyce Edmonds from Illinois, wanted to find a location to start a horse rescue ranch.  After having searched for a ranch they can afford without luck for two years, they finally discover a ranch in their price range in Rainbow Valley Arizona they buy and call “Stardust Ranch”.  Strange events happen from the beginning with the previous occupants leaving behind all of their possessions that somehow end up in the pool outside.  A strange man with a machete turns up saying he is the one who keeps the monsters away.  Not long after that first day moving to the ranch, the Edmonds would see first hand the monsters the knife wielding stranger was talking about!  The story keeps getting stranger and stranger starting with orbs appearing outside at night, then UFOs as well as “Brillo men”,  Grey Aliens and even Roman Soldiers strolling through the property suggesting a possible time travel element.  John claims there are two portals on the property where “beings from other dimensions” constantly come through to our dimension.  John claims the Greys did inappropriate things to his wife so he took action and attacked them with a sword, killing several and even getting tissue samples from one.  As the visits of the Greys become frequent, Joyce levitates so often that John must anchor her to the bed!

Mysterious Topics host John and guest host Lisa sift through the many details of this story, coming mainly from the Edmonds’, in an effort to determine if there is any truth to it or is it just a ruse to get someone ( such as Skinwalker Ranch Owner and Billionaire Robert Bigelow) to purchase the ranch.

John and guest host Zach Kytka discuss the many ancient flood stories from all over the world, some predating the story of Noah’s Arc most of us are familiar with.

The reasons for so many similar stories from every corner of Earth are contemplated, with a possible explanation offered from the research of Graham Hancock with help from Randall Carlson in Hancock’s latest book;  “Magicians Of The Gods”.  Joe Rogan Podcast W/ Graham Hancock & Randall Carlson

John continues discussion with Jordan of the Night Time Podcast concerning the History Channel’s series “The Curse Of Oak Island”.

Episode 9, “Echos From The Deep”, episode 10, “About Face” and episode 11 “Presidential Secrets” are covered.

Events over the course of episodes 9,10 & 11 are:

A discussion is had about whether to continue to examine borehole 10x or scrap it.  A new scan of 10x confirmed the “chest” that was seen on a previous scan is no longer there, proving that it was probably a square stone diver John Chatterton moved during his dive last season.   A rock at Peggy’s Cove 50 miles east of Oak Island is shown to Charles and Rick by Terry Deveau.   Divers descend to the bottom of borehole C1 with little success.  Rick and Alex go on a trip to find out why FDR was so enamored with Oak Island.  After another equipment failure, a big debate on whether to use the remaining funds for this season on 10x or the Money Pit area roils up before Marty makes a decision.

Bobby Mackey’s Music World is a nightclub located in Wilder, Kentucky, United States owned by country singer Bobby Mackey.  Urban legends claim the nightclub is the site of hauntings, murders, and suicides, however no credible evidence exists for the death claims.

Promoted in popular culture as “the most haunted night club in America”,  Mackey claims the site was originally used as a slaughterhouse in the early 19th century and later torn down for construction of a roadhouse that took on various names, such as The Brisbane, until he purchased it in 1978. Various urban legends and modern folklore claim that the site features a “gateway to hell” and is haunted by spirits including Pearl Bryan, whose corpse was found in a field 2.5 miles from the site in Fort Thomas, Kentucky.  Other legends claim Bryan’s murderers were Satanists who cursed the location and vowed to haunt everyone involved in prosecuting the case.  There is also a legend that claims a pregnant dancer named “Johanna” committed suicide with poison in the 1950s after her father murdered her lover Robert Randall, a singer at the club, by hanging him in the dressing room.

Investigations have failed to find public records of any such events, and research into property records, newspapers, and court files has failed to substantiate claims made regarding the history of the location. No connection between Bobby Mackey’s and the Pearl Bryan murder has ever been established.

John talks with past guest host Ryan Clark who has been to the alleged haunted night club.  Ryan describes the history of the property and the past incidents that could lead to the present day hauntings.
