When one hears the words “The Finale” automatically thoughts of an ending come to mind. That is the case with the Mysterious Topics podcasts.
One-half of the Mysterious Topics duo, Chuck, decided a few months ago that he would like to bow out of the podcast after two years, and over 200 podcasts. The future of the podcast is now in the very capable hands of the other one-half of the duo, John.
The final tying up loose ends episode deals with John and Chuck discussing many aspects of the Mysterious Topics podcast. Much reminiscing is a big part of the episode. Also, words of appreciation were offered to the listeners, including mentioning of correspondence received from some of those listeners.
Of course, John and Chuck could not resist talking about mysterious topics on their last show. Included in that discussion was an explanation as to how scientists are able to explain the definite existence of aliens through the use of math. Also discussed was the B-theory of time with a reference to Brian Greene’s excellent YouTube presentation of the topic.
Also, several comments from listeners were presented as well as a final interview with Jordan from the Nighttime Podcast. Jordan will continue to contribute to the Mysterious Topics podcast with co hosting the coverage of the upcoming season four of The Curse Of Oak Island History Channel show scheduled to start November 15, 2016.
“The Finale” does not mean the end of the Mysterious Topics podcast. Only Chuck’s participation. The 200 plus episodes with Chuck will be available for a long time, hopefully indefinitely.
Mysterious Topics will continue albeit a different format. The one true part of Mysterious Topics was the sincere rapport between Chuck and John that will not be duplicated moving forward. The sincerity, honesty and kindness of Chuck that shown through every episode will be greatly missed not just by John, but by the listeners as well.
John will continue Mysterious Topics Podcast with a few different formats for shows. There will probably be some bumps along the way, but “Mysterious Topics 2.0” will find it’s way and continue to improve. As always suggestions, encouragements and critiques are welcome and appreciated to ensure the improvement of Mysterious Topics moving forward.
